Find out about more about our Employer Services team and how we can help

These are our qualification and centre FAQs for employers

The provision I am receiving from my training provider doesn't meet my needs. Are there other options available?

Yes, there are several different options, and we can support you in finding the right one for your business. Visit the City & Guilds Kineo website to talk to one of our experts and to find out what we do.

What do I need to run courses in house?

It depends on the training you are offering. For a standard qualification you will need Verifiers, Assessors and a Quality Assurance visit. Contact our employer services team to discuss your plans and we can help.

What do I do if I want to create a course of my own?

If nothing suitable exists, we can work with you to create a new course, either by mapping units from existing qualifications or through creating entirely new material. Find out more by contacting one of our experts.

No, whilst we are the experts in qualifications we also offer training that doesn't result in a qualification on completion.

How do you work with ILM?

We offer both City & Guilds and ILM qualifications.

Who is work based learning for?

Everyone - regardless of age or sector you work in.

How could I apply your courses to develop my team?

Every business is different but our case studies give you an idea of how we work with other organisations to help them deliver commercial results.

How much time would need to be committed to taking a City & Guilds course?

The time for completion varies from short courses over a few days through to apprenticeship programmes lasting a number of years. Each programme we offer will have recommended guided learning hours to ensure high quality.

How will offering vocational qualifications, apprenticeships or accrediting my current in-house training enhance my business?

We work hard to ensure the training we develop delivers commercial results for you. We do this by truly understanding your needs and ensuring the solutions we propose will deliver on this. Much research has been carried out which demonstrates the return on investment through workforce development. Take a look at our case studies or contact us to find out more about improving employee motivation, productivity and retention.

What are the different options available on a delivery model?

Delivery options vary depending on what you are offering your employees. You can deliver the training yourselves, through a training provider, or in some cases we can deliver the training. Contact employer services team to discuss your needs and the different options available to you.

Are you able to help me draw down funding?

Yes, please contact us to discuss further.

What does it mean to become an approved City & Guilds centre?

It means you have the authority to deliver training and issue certificates with recognised hallmark of quality of City & Guilds.

How do I become a centre?

There are three options for you as an employer. We can help you get in touch with an appropriate training provider, we can deliver the training where appropriate, or you can deliver training yourself with our support. Please contact our Employer Services team to find out more about the different options.
