To deliver these qualifications you'll need to provide your learners with a suitable learning environment. This includes providing access to real and relevant settings whenever possible since the focus is on 'learning by doing'.
You will need qualified assessors who have expertise in working with people with learning difficulties. You'll assess learners mainly through observation of practical activities.
As many of the learners may have limited literacy and numeracy skills, you need to provide resources to enable learners to demonstrate their ability through carrying out practical tasks rather than writing about them. For example, learners who have difficulty with reading and writing should not be asked to complete worksheets as evidence for their Personal Progress portfolios.
Anyone can take this qualification, but you must make sure all your learners can access the resources they need to complete it.
