You'll learn how to operate a flight safely - by preparing the cabin, welcoming and boarding passengers, offering customer service and sales, demonstrating safety procedures and dealing with potential issues and emergencies.
The qualification is aimed at anyone who would like to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to progress in to a career as air cabin crew.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You'll cover things like:

  • airline industry terminology
  • role of air cabin crew
  • health, safety and security procedures
  • customer service
  • selling skills
  • making passenger announcements.

You will be taught in a classroom environment.

Assessment will be via practical demonstration and/or assignment and practical examinations.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver this qualification you will need to provide your learners with a suitable learning environment and the resources they need to complete the practical and theoretical aspects of the qualification.

You will need qualified assessors - you can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

Level 2

Level 2 is ideal if you want to find your first job as part of a cabin crew. You may have some experience in a related job or you might be completely new to the aviation industry.

You will need to complete 6 mandatory units:

  • Working as cabin crew
  • Airline health, safety and security
  • Aircraft emergency situations
  • Dealing with passengers on board aircraft
  • Cabin service - selling techniques
  • Making passenger announcements on board aircraft.

Plus one optional unit:

  • Employment rights and responsibilities in the passenger transport sector (technical certificate).
