Helping you to plan ahead to book your apprenticeship end-point assessments

We know how important it is to secure the dates you need for your apprentices to take their end-point assessments (EPAs). The good news is that we can service your EPA requirements and have the capacity to support you. Rest assured we don’t operate booking windows or close our bookings. With City & Guilds you can book EPA all year round.

It is still important to plan your bookings to secure the dates that work best for your apprentices - particularly at busy times, like the summer months.

City & Guilds have two approaches to book an EPA:

Pre-gateway EPA booking service:

For some of our EPAs we provide a pre-gateway service. This allows you to book dates ahead of gateway for your EPA event.

Pre-gateway bookings are available for most of our EPA standards in Construction, Transport Maintenance, and Engineering, plus Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship and Dental Nursing.

This can be a great way to secure your preferred choice dates during busy periods for your apprentices. Email our Partnership Manager Team  to book some time in to understand the guidance, timelines and run through the booking forms.

EPA booking service at gateway:

Alternatively, EPA bookings are made at gateway in EPA Pro, our apprenticeship administration platform.

Across the standards we work with you on, there are some variations in the booking lead times. The lead times include gateway processing time and are subject to first-time gateway approval.

Not approved with City & Guilds and struggling to secure EPA dates

If you are delivering standards, but not currently approved to deliver them with City & Guilds, don't worry. Simply reach out to our EPA Partnership Team and they'll be able to support you with that process, so that you can take advantage of our booking capacity.
