What do I need for my remote invigilation assessment?
You will need a clear, private space in either your home or workplace and the use of a Microsoft laptop or PC with a webcam and microphone. You will also need a valid form of photo ID.
How will my identity be confirmed?
You will be asked for your name and a form of photo ID which matches the name for the assessment booking, a photo will then be taken which will be compared to the photo ID provided.
I have two screens at my desk, can I cover one while I complete my assessment?
Yes, any equipment that cannot be removed from the test room can be either covered or unplugged and moved behind you in view of the camera.
Do I need to download anything before the assessment?
If you have the latest Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser, you are all set to go. These will need to be set to InPrivate or Incognito mode so please check you can do this beforehand as some browsers may have this option blocked.
Can I use my work laptop for my assessment?
We advise that you use a personal device. Work devices often have company-enforced restrictions which can lead to the camera, microphone or screenshare not working during your assessment.
Can I use my Mac computer?
No. We currently only support PC laptop or desktop computers. Windows Surface devices can be used if a keyboard or mouse is attached to it.
When will I receive my results?
Please contact your centre to find out about your results.
I require access arrangements for my assessment. How do I do this?
Ask your centre to contact us about your circumstances so that we can make adjustments as needed.
What if I do not have the right equipment and/or room for my assessment?
Your centre should be able to provide equipment or alternative ways to complete your assessment..
