What does this mean for your curriculum planning in England for 2025/26?

Due to the outcomes mentioned above, the government has released provisional lists outlining level 3 qualifications that will have funding extended, including the length of the extension, and those that will not be extended.

We are set to launch our new City & Guilds level 2 and level 3 Technical Occupational Entry qualifications, designed in response to the post-16 qualification reforms. These qualifications will be ready for delivery from September 2025.

To assist with your curriculum planning and implementation of these new qualifications, our technical advisors will be hosting a series of webinars in January 2025. Links to these webinars are available on our qualification reforms webpage

What does this mean for your curriculum planning in the nations and internationally for 2025/26?

If a qualification is available in the nations or internationally and has had its funding extended in England, it will continue to be accessible to centres in those regions.

Please review the lists on the government website and continue to check the Find a Learning Aim database for funding status.
