If you look closely during the interview, you’ll see a stained-glass window behind Kirstie and Seema which includes an apprentice in it. The window dates back to the 15th century, showcasing just how long apprenticeships have been creating opportunities to change lives, and they still do today.
Topics discussed during the interview include the critical role of Further Education regionally and nationally in shaping the skills agenda, Racial Equality Week and what a future Labour government is planning for apprenticeships and skills.
Kirstie also quizzed Seema on some apprenticeship trivia and explored what apprenticeship Seema would consider doing if she had the opportunity.
Commenting on the interview, Seema said ‘ahead of National Apprenticeship Week, thank you to all across the sector for all the amazing work you do.’
