Cyber Security Knowledge Qualifications (3660)

Last Updated: 21 Jun 2022

These qualifications are designed for those looking for a career in cyber security technology.

They provide learning that underpin two career opportunities:

  • technical solutions - those whose focus is on the technical side work on areas such as security design and architecture, security testing, investigations and response.
  • risk analyst - those whose focus is on the risk analysis side work on areas such as operations, risk, governance and compliance.

The qualifications can be taken either as standalone qualifications, or as part of the mandatory on-programme learning for the Cyber Security Technologist apprenticeship standard (ST0124 v1.0) (City & Guilds 9660).

On achieving the relevant qualification(s), the learner will have gained underpinning knowledge appropriate to the Cyber Security Technologist apprenticeship standard.

The qualifications can also be used to enhance on-programme learning for the newly published 2021 Cyber Security Technologist (ST1021 v1.0) apprenticeship standard where a mandatory qualification isn’t required.
