An Award, Certificate or Diploma in Floristry is for anyone interested in working as a florist, from complete beginners to those already working as a supervisor or shop manager.

You don't need any previous experience of working in the floristry industry to start taking the Level 2 Award in Floristry.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

While earning this qualification, you'll cover things like:

  • plant care
  • flower arranging
  • creating floral decorations
  • ordering and handling stock
  • dealing with customers.

For the Award, Certificate and Diploma in Floristry, you'll learn both in a learning environment and on work placements in the floristry industry.

For the Level 2 award, certificate and diploma, you'll be assessed with a multiple choice test and a practical demonstration or assignment.

For the Level 3 award, certificate and diploma, you'll be assessed with a practical demonstration or assignment and a written test.

Which level is right for me?

Level 2
You may have some knowledge and basic skills in the floristry industry - probably from a role where you work under supervision. You want to increase your floristry skills and take on more responsibility.

Level 3
You've worked in floristry for some time - you have plenty of experience. You want to develop your skills further, perhaps to move into a management role.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

In order to deliver this course, you will need qualified internal assessors - you can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.
