Before joining City & Guilds, Alison held the position of a Middle Leader for Vocational Education in a large secondary school. She had previously worked in a number of different educational settings, including setting up an alternative curriculum in schools for learners who had difficulty in accessing mainstream education and working for a private training provider as a Training and Development Advisor for apprenticeships.
Alison's current varied role provides her with the opportunity to work across the business. She is able to support all educational establishments by advising on the latest developments in vocational reforms. This ensures stakeholders are able to provide a curriculum that supports progression and employment opportunities. Alison works with universities across the UK to ensure learners who wish to continue their education have access to Higher Education.
