With an industry background of working in the beauty sector, Katherine went into the world of teaching. This became a passion of hers - to help individuals train for employment and gain new skills. During this time, she enjoyed the process of improving the Maths and English abilities of her learners and realised she wanted to pursue this career pathway. Katherine's journey has led her through the many changes of Maths and English and has enabled her to support learners and staff to raise standards.
Her current role is Technical Advisor for Maths, English and Employability. She works closely with the Pre-Employment Design team, linking customers feedback to forward planning. This is a diverse role working with customers and stakeholders, interpreting customer needs and raising awareness of the City & Guilds support offer.
Maths and English is incorporated into our daily lives. Enabling individuals to be more confident and capable with these skills, will not only enrich their lives but increase employment and progression opportunities.
