After many years of careful consideration City & Guilds has made the decision to no longer offer the majority of qualifications in the Sports and Recreation sector. We understand that this will come as a surprise for many of our centres and therefore have planned an exit strategy that we think will be supportive and beneficial to our centres and their learners. Please read the transition letter and FAQs to help you understand which qualifications are impacted and how and when you can transition to YMCA.

YMCA Awards was the first awarding organisation to specialise in qualifications for the active leisure industry 18 years’ ago, and this remains its core area of focus. It is a non-profit organisation and a brand which has global reach and significance. Qualifications from YMCA Awards are delivered and recognised internationally. So far, around 500,000 learners have started or progressed their professional career with a qualification from YMCA Awards.
